Kenny Blyth is an actor and voice-over actor. He graduated from Queen Margaret’s College, Edinburgh in 2000, the first graduate from there to win the prestigious BBC Radio ‘Carleton Hobbs’ bursary award. He spent his first year working only in Radio Drama at the BBC in London, which has provided him with a rare versatility in age, characters and accents (nearly 30 to date), often playing multiple characters in a single production.
Kenny now works in all areas of the industry, all over the world, including TV, film, games, documentaries, audio drama, theatre, animation and audio books. He also co-ordinates and voices ADR for TV & film post production in Scotland on shows like ‘Counsels’, ‘Mint’, ‘Only Child’, ‘Shetland’, ‘Vigil’ and ‘Outlander’ to name a few. It is as a voice-actor, though, working from his own broadcast quality, home-studio, that Kenny spends most of his time.
Current Work – In TV, Kenny has most recently played Luxury Balloon in ‘Operation Dark Phone’, Pathologist Doctor Gavin in BBC drama ‘Granite Harbour’, Mr L in the documentary ‘Encro Dark Phone’ and Mike in ‘Adult Material’. Kenny has just narrated a wildlife documentary, ‘Big Little Giants’ for Nat Geo/Amazon and has performed in over 300 radio plays including most recently ‘This Thing of Darkness’, ‘Pretender Prince’ and ‘The Raiders’. Kenny also works consistently in games (Mataphor ReFantazio, Mindseye, Empyreal, Clockwork Revolution) and animations (‘Mitten and Shoe’, ‘Journey to Yourland’).
Kenny is a BBC Radio Carleton Hobbs award winner 2000. One Voice 2025 Best Audio Drama Performance, Vox Award 2017 Best Male Performance in Commercial and an Audio File Earphones Award Winner for Ann Cleeves Shetland novel ‘Wild Fire’.
