Jo is a native northerner born in Durham, living in Newcastle upon Tyne with a “refined” northern voice. Her voice can be described as warm, friendly and calm, assured and clear, maternal, and slightly husky.
Her previous experience as a family lawyer makes her ideally suited to voicing all types of corporate narration, as well as TV commercials and documentaries. Jo even enjoys technical, wordy scripts!
She is experienced in delivering complex and often sensitive information in a conversational, clear and reassuring manner. As a Mum, too, she has an authentic, soft, loving maternal voice as well as a frustrated, cross parent when required.
Jo’s voice over work has included Sudocrem, Tommee Tippee, Lookers, NHS, Procter & Gamble, Legal & General, GCSE Pod, British Gas, as well as a variety of luxury lingerie, hotel and spa brands.
Jo appreciates the importance of deadlines, reliability and attention to detail and team-spirit. She is always complimented on her excellent sight-reading skills and can offer a great “first-read”.
